Enyimba forward, Ekene Awazie, is ready to help his team secure a victory when they travel to face Bayelsa United in a Matchday 10 fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this Sunday.
The People’s Elephant starts the matchday in third place, four points behind table-topping Rivers United. Awazie and his teammates know they have to stay within touching distance of the top two sides above them to keep that 10th title ambition alive.
The former FC Ifeanyiubah and Remo Stars man has been a key player for the People’s Elephant in the attacking setup, making seven league appearances and scoring once.
Awazie is confident that Enyimba can get a positive result in Yenagoa.
“It won’t be easy playing against Bayelsa United away from home, but we are ready for the challenge,” Ekene Awazie said.
“We have been working hard in training, and we are ready to get a positive result in Yenagoa. We respect Bayelsa United, but we are confident in our ability to play good football and win the game.”
A positive result in Yenagoa against Bayelsa United would be a significant boost to their title aspirations this season.
The Aba Elephants has never lost to Bayelsa United in three NPFL matches.
