Trabzonspor To Table €8M Plus Player Offer For Onuachu

Trabzonspor is set to make a fresh bid for Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu, offering €8m plus another player in a desperate attempt to finalize the transfer before the Turkish transfer window closes.

Despite facing challenges pursuing the prolific forward, the Black Sea club remains determined to push the deal through.

Onuachu, who scored 17 goals in 25 matches last season, is surplus to the requirements at Southampton, and Trabzonspor is looking to capitalize on the situation.

Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan expressed the club’s commitment to the transfer, stating, “We made the biggest offer to his club regarding Paul Onuachu.

We made an offer of €6m plus bonuses, up to €8m, but his club (Southampton) insists on €15m. We still have interest. Preparations are underway to add another foreigner.”

Already, the Turkish club has made significant moves in the transfer market, securing agreements with Braga for striker Simon Banza and defender Serdar Saatçı.

However, the club’s management has its sights firmly set on Onuachu and not backing down.

With the transfer windows in Europe’s major leagues closing, Trabzonspor is planning to wrap up the transfer period by securing Onuachu’s signature.

The 30-year-old striker is reportedly eager to join the Turkish club, and Trabzonspor is confident that they can finalize the deal.

Onuachu has made a few of Southampton’s matchday squads this season, despite the Saints struggling in the Premier League.

Trabzonspor’s offer of €8m plus another player may be enough to persuade Southampton to let go of the Nigerian striker, and the Turkish club is hopeful of completing the transfer soon.
