Nigerian midfielder, Daniel Daga has joined Norwegian top-flight side FK Molde on a three-year deal, his parent club, FC One Rocket announced.
The 18-year-old Daga, who rose through the youth ranks with Carabana Football Academy, broke into the main team, FC ONE Rocket in the 2021/2022 Nigeria National League season.
A statement from his club reads: Everyone at FC ONE Rocket wishes him an amazing time with his new club and the best in all his future endeavors.
He helped the Nigeria Under 20 side win the WAFU B tournament and also played a part in the team’s run at the Under 20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2022 before starring at the 2023 FIFA Under 20 World Cup.
Daniel Daga also had loan spells in Nigeria’s top-flight with Dakkada FC and most recently, Enyimba FC.
With Enyimba, he featured in the CAF Confederation Cup where they got to the group stage.
Before settling for Molde, Daniel Daga had offers from European clubs including Watford FC in England.
The Benue-born defensive midfielder, who can also play in central midfield and center defence began training with FK Molde.
Also, a debut is expected soon for Daniel Daga for Fk Molde in the Norwegian league.
FK Molde, who finished second in the Norwegian Eliteserien last season, will be hoping Daga’s arrival will bolster their squad as they aim to win their first league title since 2019.
