Samuel Chukwueze and Iwobi’s goals moved Fulham close to staging one of the biggest comebacks in EPL history, but they fell short at the last minute.
A brilliant brace from Samuel Chukwueze and a stunner of a goal by Alex Iwobi weren’t enough to earn Fulham a point against Manchester City in the EPL matchday 14.
Going into the game, Chukwueze was riding on his performance against Tottenham Hotspur, where he provided an assist and almost got his first goal in a 2-1 win over the weekend.

The Nigerian came off the bench to net two quickfire goals to reduce Fulham’s deficit against Manchester City to just one goal.
Before Chukwueze’s brace, Iwobi was the first Nigerian on the night to score in the 56th minute.
Alex Iwobi ran onto Nico O’Reilly’s flick and fired into the corner to begin Fulham’s comeback.
From that point, the on-loan AC Milan player took over the game with a six-minute brace.
Gianluigi Donnarumma punched away Fulham’s corner, but Samuel Chukwueze was alert to the ball and somehow found a way through the bodies in the box to place it in the bottom corner.

Also, the entertaining game witnessed Manchester City striker Erling Haaland scoring his 100th Premier League goal.
Haaland becomes the fastest player to reach the milestone in 111 games, 13 fewer than Alan Shearer’s 100 in 134 games.
