Club president Nahit Eren has clarified the Gift Orban Amedspor transfer, revealing the main clause on the road to activating a mandatory purchase clause.
Gift Orban is just 3 goals away from activating the compulsory purchase clause in his loan transfer to newly promoted Turkish club Amedspor.
Current Turkish Super Lig leader, Amedspor will seal a permanent move that club president Nahit Eren considers an easy deal.
Orban signed on a season-long loan from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim in July 2026.
Amedspor president Nahit Eren on Gift Orban’s deal:
“We did not pay €1 million to loan Gift Orban. The loan fee is €500,000.
If he scores 10 goals, the mandatory purchase clause will be activated. The fee is not €5 million, as reported, but €3 million.
“We will also pay the €3 million transfer fee in instalments spread over several years.”
Gift Orban is joint top scorer in the Süper Lig, level with Trabzonspor forward Mohamed Salah, following his impressive start to the campaign.
His latest contribution came in Amedspor’s 3-2 victory over Beşiktaş, where Orban scored and provided an assist to help the newly promoted club move to the top of the table.
Before moving to Amedspor, Orban had been in search of consistency and a home since leaving Genk in Belgium.
An acrimonious time in Lyon and an unproductive Serie A campaign left him with less comfort.
