Abia Warriors midfielder Innocent Godwin has pledged that the team will bounce back from their disappointing 2-0 home loss to Heartland in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Imama Amapakabo’s side fell 2-0 to their oriental rivals at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
The Umuahia club will be up against Lobi Stars this weekend.
Innocent declared that they would go all out for a win against Daniel Amokachi’s tutored side.
“Our last game at home was not good enough because we did all we could, but our best was not good enough,” he told the club’s media.
“We are promising the fans and the entire management, our game against Lobi Stars, we will put on our best to make sure we come out victorious.”
Determined to make amends, Abia Warriors aim to return to winning ways against Lobi Stars and restore pride for their fans and management.
