Former African kings Enyimba’s away struggles continue in the CAF confederations cup after losing one-nil to Ahly Benghazi in Libya.
Almoatassem Altaib scored in the 40th minute to condemn 10 man Enyimba to third straight away loss in the group stage.

Altaib received a pass on the right flank before sending a tame shot at goal but goalkeeper, John Noble fumbled the ball.
Bedevilled by funding issues, the peoples elephant almost missed the trip until a N100m bailout from Abia state governor saved the day.
The peoples elephant are currently in third position in group A with six points.

Enyimba lost to Orlando Pirates 2 – 1 and to Es Setif 3 – 0 while in the last seven games they have won once, drew once and lost five games.
However they will need a win against South Africa’s Orlando Pirates in the last group game to pick a quarter-finals slot.

Meanwhile, coach of the Enyimba, Fatai Osho feels his team gave a more improved performance despite the loss.
“Quite an improved performance on our part. We know we had to get a good result here to stand a good chance of going to the quarter-final. We had our work cut out, and the players are quite aware of this.”
