Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr says he is out to see how the newly invited players will adapt to the system of the team in tonight’s international friendly game against Algeria.
Rohr invited six new players to the team for the two international friendly and another player, Kevin Akpoguma joined the team after approval from FIFA for his allegiance switch came through.
“I want to see our new players. I want to see good football. We already see them in training, and the match will be different. The two games will be interesting and its a good test for us.”

The six new players include Speedster, Chidera Ejuke, Samson Tijani(Last U17 captain) Mathew Yakubu a goalkeeper, Zaidu Sunusi Left-back, newly signed by FC Porto, Frank Onyeka and Cyril Dessers form Genk in Belgium.
Players like Cyril Dessers will be auditioning for a role in the absence of the first-choice striker, Victor Osimhen who was excused with permission from the two games.
“He is our leader in the attack, he has been doing well, we will miss him but, of course, we have to organize because this can happen in the tournament. We have a lot of strikers in the squad. We have to handle the situation.”
