West Ham wins the race to sign Nigerain teen sensation
West Ham have won the race to sign highly rated 15-year old defender, Justin Osagie from Southend United, according to several reports making the rounds.
The youngster has been attracting interest from a number of premier league clubs, especially London based ones, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham all known to have been actively courting him.
Other Premier League clubs such as Liverpool, Wolves and Brighton also wanted the youngster but it is West Ham who have won the race.
Osagie is described as a quick central defender, who is good on the ball and has an eye for a pass. The youngster is also said to be quite versatile, having covered in midfield too.
The Southend academy graduate is reportedly eligible to play for both England and Nigeria, with the English FA keeping tabs on his situation ahead of a call up to the Under-16s.
The defender, who has been pictured in a West Ham shirt, will now join the Hammers academy and hope to break into their first-team in the distant future.
