In a dissenting judgment with the three judges’ 2-1 decision, the Akinkunmi Amoo rape case ended in a one-year prison term in Denmark.
Reports from Danish media revealed no evidence or witnesses in the three cases, and it was just word-of-mouth accusations.

The case revolves around the accusations by the three ladies involved.
The Judgement
The magistrates, in their ruling, couldn’t agree on the same judgment for all three counts, leading to a 2-1 decision.
An unconditional prison sentence for one year and payment to the ladies. There’s a mention of a ban from Denmark for six years.
He will also pay an amount to the ladies.
Facts Of The Alleged Rape Case
According to sources, the first girl was his girlfriend and came from Sweden to visit him (without going into details). A misunderstanding ensued, and she accused him of rape a week after the alleged incident. The Police stepped in but had the full knowledge of the matter, so he was released the same day, and no charges were brought forward.
Furthermore, months after two friends made their report after asking for compensation through a male associate, his refusal brought the matter to the police and a review of the first case, which was dropped without charges.
Meanwhile, Abdul Sule, a former Nigerian international (who lives in Denmark), says the Appeal might take a year before it’s settled. He is not banned and will not go to jail as been widely reported.
Akinkunmi will likely go on loan to another club outside Denmark and FC Copenhagen until the case is heard.
However, the Nigerian international is currently with his club, FC Copenhagen awaiting the commencement of his appeal.
