Going unbeaten in a season is a feat achieved by a few European teams, and what most of them have in common are Nigerians.
Seven Nigerian players have achieved this feat with Kanu Nwankwo doing it twice for Ajax and Arsenal.

The first set of Nigerian invincible winners in Europe were Kanu Nwankwo and Finidi George. The duo was part of the Ajax team in the 1994/1995 season that won the Dutch Eredivisie without losing a game.
The Ajax team coached by Luis Van Gaal scored a staggering 106 goals and allowed only 28, emerging victorious in 27 of their 34 games while drawing the rest.
Nigerian Unbeaten European League Champions: Arsenal’s Invincibles
In England, Kanu Nwankwo’s Arsenal won the 2003–04 Premier League title, finishing undefeated under manager Arsène Wenger. They went unbeaten for 49 consecutive matches in the league between 2003 and 2004.
Across the 49 matches, Arsenal won 121 from a possible 147 points (W26 D13), 19 more than any other side, and scored 35 more goals than any other side (112).
Aribo, Bassey, And Balogun Are Gerrard’s Generals
Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side became only the second team to win the Scottish Premiership and go a full season without losing a game.
The trio of Joe Aribo, Calvin Bassey and Leon Balogun were part of the Rangers’ team that got 102pts to win the Scottish league.
Interestingly, Rangers won all 19 home games at Ibrox and equalled the league record of 26 clean sheets with the duo of Balogun and Bassey in defence.
Furthermore, they also set a record by conceding only 13 goals in their 32 wins and six draws.

Bayer Leverkusen became the first Bundesliga team to go unbeaten in a season after defeating Augsburg 2-1 on Saturday.
Goals from Victor Boniface and Robert Andrich helped Xabi Alonso’s side clinch their 28th win of the season.
By going unbeaten, Bayer Leverkusen won their first-ever Bundesliga title in their 120-year history.
