Gabriel Osho, the latest addition to the Super Eagles squad, has expressed his pride in his Yoruba heritage and eagerness to represent Nigeria on the international stage.
The Auxerre defender, who recently received his call-up to the national team, spoke to reporters about his cultural roots and football aspirations.
“I’m incredibly proud of my Yoruba heritage,” Osho said. “My parents instilled in me the values of our culture, and I’m grateful for the rich history and traditions that shape who I am today.”
Osho, who was born in England to Nigerian parents, emphasized his connection to his ancestral homeland.
“Nigeria is my fatherland, and I’m honored to represent the country,” he stated. “I’m excited to be part of the Super Eagles and contribute to the team’s success.”
The 22-year-old defender praised Coach Augustine Eguavoen for believing in him and giving him the opportunity to serve his country.
“I’m grateful for the coach’s trust in me,” Osho said. “I’ll give my all to help the team achieve our goals.”
