Tobi Amusan will take on the likes of Masai Russell, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, and Danielle Williams as stars of the Women’s 100m Hurdles at the 50th edition of The Prefontaine Classic scheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Hayward Field in Oregon, United States.
The fastest hurdlers in the world are attending the 50th anniversary edition of the Prefontaine Classic as part of the Wanda Diamond League circuit.

Second only to Amusan on the all-time list, American Masai Russell won Olympic gold last summer with a time of 12.33s and recently set a new American record of 12.17s.
Furthermore, Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, one of the most consistent performers in the event, will push the limits for the race. Camacho-Quinn owns a personal best of 12.26s and remains a regular threat in any elite field.

Going into Prefontaine, Tobi Amusan dropped a statement race with a 12.24 time at the Paris Diamond League.

Amusan ran her second-fastest time in history, and third-fastest time in all conditions since breaking the 100m Hurdles World Record, to finish 2nd in the women’s 100m Hurdles at the Paris Diamond League, clocking 12.24.
However, Tobi narrowly finished 2nd behind Grace Stark, who ran a Meeting Record and Personal Best of 12.21s to win the race. Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent finished 3rd in the race with 12.30s.
Earlier in Rabat, she clocked 12.45s to keep pace with her progression of shaving some .2s off her times.
Afterwards, Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan returned to winning ways at the Ostrava Golden Spike meet, comfortably winning the women’s 100m Hurdles with a time of 12.45s.
Gradually, Amusan is improving her times with each race under her belt.
