The Super Eagles beat Cameroon 2-0 in a round of 16 match that took place at the Houghet Boigny stadium.
Osimhen set up the opening goal for Nigeria with his sheer work rate. After picking a Cameroonian defender’s pocket, he laid the ball for Ademola Lookman to slot home for the first goal.
The second goal was a well-worked team goal that put Nigeria clear in the game.
Bassey crossed from the left and Lookman met it first time at the near post to slide home for the second goal.
