Nigerian striker, Sadiq Umar has taken his search for playing time to Laliga strugglers, Valencia with a loan move.
The first half of the season was disastrous for Valencia, and their poor form meant they occupied a place in the La Liga relegation zone.
New head coach Carlos Corberan has been tasked with guiding Los Che away from trouble, although he will require help on the transfer front.
On the second day of the 2025 winter transfer window, Valencia has already agreed to their first deal – and it’s for Umar Sadiq.
As per Diario AS, Real Sociedad has allowed the Nigerian striker to move to the Mestalla on loan for the remainder of the season.
Sadiq will join Valencia next week, meaning he will miss Friday’s match against Real Madrid at the Mestalla.
Valencia has struggled for goals this season, so bringing in Sadiq Umar should help in this regard.
Umar recently returned from an injury he picked up and has been struggling for playing time at Real Sociedad.

Meanwhile, Valencia is in 19th position on the Laliga table with 12 points in 18 games in the 2025 Laliga season.
Consequently, the team has scored only 17 goals while conceding 28 goals in 18 league games.
