The Supers Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group C along with Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania in the forthcoming African Nations Cup scheduled to hold from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026 in Morocco.
The draw was announced in a ceremony some moments ago, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling tournament.
The 2025 edition of the tournament will be the 35th edition of the competition.
The Super Eagles will be looking to win its fourth AFCON title after losing out in the finals against host Ivory Coast in the last edition of the tournament.
Other groupings include; Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros
Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe
Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin Republic, Botswana
Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan
Group F: Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
Nigeria’s newly appointed coach Éric Chelle, whose strategies will be pivotal, commented, “We respect all our opponents. Each team in our group has the potential to surprise on any given day, but we will be preparing meticulously to ensure we top our group.”
The draw has set the scene for a captivating battle for supremacy in African football, with the Super Eagles aiming to soar high in Morocco.
