The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS is providing support for the 22nd National Sports Festival scientific congress to herald the games.
Director General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Professor Ayo Omotayo, said that the Partnership with the Games LoC in staging the Games Scientific Congress is to join in the quest to grow and develop a viable Sports Economy in Nigeria.

The idea is based on President Bola Amed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Presidential charge to the leadership of the new National Sports Commission (NSC).
Speakers at the congress include the hairperson of the NWFl, Nkechi Obi, and Sports consultant, Emeka Enyadike.
Others include former international, Segun Odegbami, VP African Sports Management Association, Prof Ikuejamoye, amongst others.

The Sports Festival Scientific Congress theme is “Strategies for the development of a viable sports economy in Nigeria.”
Also, it has a sub-theme of merging market dynamics with sports medicine excellence.
According to Professor Ayo Omotayo, DG NIPSS, this is the beginning of cooperation with the National Sports Commission NSC in strategically building a viable Sports Economy in Nigeria.

He emphasized the need for adequate policy formulation and Strategic policy implementation in the Nigerian sports ecosystem to prevent Policy summersault.
Furthermore, Prof. Ayo Omotayo added that he believes that the creative economy’s sports sector should be allowed to contribute its fair share to the GDP.
