Former Plateau United defender Andrew Ikefe has completed a move to Jaish Sports Club of Iraq, signing a one-year deal ahead of the 2025/26 league season.
The centre back joins the Iraqi side as part of their preparations for the new campaign, bringing with him valuable experience from both Nigerian and international football.

Expectations are high for Ikefe’s arrival in Jaish SC’s defensive unit as they push for success in the upcoming season.

Abroad, the defender has also built an impressive résumé, with spells at Shabab Al Sahel and Al Ahed in Lebanon, as well as Diyala in Iraq, giving him a strong understanding of football in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, speaking after completing his move, Ikefe expressed his excitement and ambition for the new challenge.
“It is a great feeling to have signed for the club. I hope to give my best and help my team win the championship,” he said.
