Sporting Lagos emerged winners of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League Super 4 tournament after edging Inter Lagos on goal difference following a dramatic final day in Ikenne, Ogun State.
Although Inter Lagos defeated Sporting Lagos 1-0 in Friday’s decisive fixture, Sporting Lagos secured the title after both clubs finished level on points.
The Super 4 finale highlighted the competitiveness of an NNL season shaped significantly by betPawa’s Locker Room Bonus initiative, which introduced direct performance-based rewards for players.

Heading into the final round, Sporting Lagos, Inter Lagos, and Doma United remained in contention for the title, while Ranchers Bees were already eliminated after losing their opening two matches.
In the other deciding fixture, Ranchers Bees defeated Doma United 3-1.
betPawa Payouts Exceed ₦287m
Following Sporting Lagos’ title triumph, betPawa payouts exceed ₦287m, including over ₦2 million to the champions through an expanded Super 4 reward package.
Unlike the regular-season format, where only matchday players and three officials received ₦56,000 after victories, the Super 4 payout covered the entire 30-man squad and officials.
With the additional payment, Sporting Lagos earned over ₦18 million from the initiative during the campaign. The club had previously received ₦16,688,000 during the regular season — the highest total among the four Super 4 participants.

Inter Lagos and Doma United earned ₦11,592,000 each, while Ranchers Bees received ₦9,016,000.
According to figures released after the season, total payouts under the initiative reached ₦287,168,000 across the league, covering 5,128 completed transactions.
Season statistics also reflected a highly competitive campaign. Of the 272 matches played, 223 produced winners, while 254 matches recorded at least one goal.
Beyond club rewards, the clubs and players receive ₦8.1 million through end-of-season awards.
Adebayo Oyedele won the Highest Goalscorer award, while Paul Offor claimed the Best Coach prize.
Dele Aiyenugba was named Best Goalkeeper, while Yahaya Hussaini emerged Most Valuable Player.

Speaking on the initiative, betPawa’s Head of Local Marketing and CSR, Borah Omary Ndanyungu, said the company hoped to expand the programme further.
“It was a pleasure for us to launch this Locker Room Bonus Sponsorship in Nigeria and hopefully we can also extend to the women,” she said.
Stakeholders across the league have described the initiative as one of the most impactful player-focused interventions in Nigerian domestic football in recent years.
