According to Fantacalcio and cited by Football Italia on Friday, the Super Eagles forward is 6th in the ranking with 6.64.
Fiorentina goalkeeper David de Gea is in pole position with 6.86 points according to a ranking based on average player ratings from Italian sports papers, considering footballers with at least 50% of league appearances.
Lookman’s Atalanta teammate Mateo Retegui, the current top scorer in Serie A, is second with 6.75 points, while Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram, the second-best scorer in the league, is in third position with 6.7 points.
Nico Paz (Como) 6.67, Milinkovic-Savic (Torino) 6.67, Nuno Tavares (Lazio) 6.62, Barella (Inter) 6.57, Meret (Napoli) 6.57, Christian Pulisic (Milan) 6.56, and Castellanos (Lazio) 6.56 complete the pile.
Lookman, 27, who ended up in 14th position in the Ballon d’Or rankings, is following up on his remarkable campaign from last season with scintillating performances this term, making seven appearances overall and accumulating 431 minutes of playing time.
He has started in six of these appearances across their 10 fixtures and as a substitute on one occasion.
Ademola Lookman last featured in a league game on October 30, playing 45 minutes for Atalanta’s 2-0 success over Monza.
He is on four Serie A goals, including a brace in their 6-1 thumping of Verona on October 26.
His goal return makes him joint sixth on the assist ranking table in the league.
Also, he ranks joint second for Serie A assists having set up four goals for his team-mates.
