The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be flying high yet again on Thursday, the 16th of November 2023 as they tackle the Likuena of Lesotho in the 2026 World Cup qualifier match-up at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
The Super Eagles who seem to be in a metamorphic phase, will be hoping to find a perfect team balance before the World Cup kicks off in 2026. The fans on the other hand are expecting the team to bring home the African Cup of Nations next year. This has put Jose on his toes and it seems he is willing to go all out to find the best legs for the job.

Bayer Leverkusen’s attacking midfielder Nathan Tella is one of Peseiro’s latest additions to the armory.
The 24-year-old talent has been a shining light for Xabi Alonso’s team in the Bundesliga this season.
How Nathan Tella Plays And What Super Eagles Fans Can Expect
Tella’s direct approach to the game reminds you of Tijani Babaginda, Emmanuel Amunike, and Findi George back in the good ol’ days. His ability to make runs behind the opposition’s back line makes him a threat at every glance.

Furthermore, his coach at Bayer Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso gives insight on what Nathan Tella can offer Nigeria.
āNathan is a player that has the ability to just do the right thing, be in the right place, he has the quality to be in the box and makes the right runs,ā Alonso told the clubās official website.
āIn Nigeria they have great strikers and maybe they could use good wingers. Heās a really nice guy with a strong mentality, he has a great attitude.ā

However, Nathan Tella expressed delight in training as he was welcomed into the team. He believes playing with the best players will challenge him and help give his all for the flag.
“I am with a very talented team, a lot of very good players and it is nice to be a part of them and they have welcomed me well and I am looking forward to the upcoming games,”. Tella reveals to NFF media.
Tella who played 36 games with Southampton before a transfer to Germany will be seeking his first start for Nigeria. He is joining the Super Eagles after pledging allegiance to Nigeria over England.
Nathan will hope to shine on the wings for the Eagles as he fights for a spot ahead of AFCON.
