Temitope Adeshina will become only the second Nigerian woman since 2016 to compete in the high jump event at the Olympics if she hits the 1.97m mark.
Texas University jump queen will seek to follow in the footsteps of the woman she broke her Nigerian record(1.96m), Doreen Amata.

To achieve the feat, Adeshina will be aiming to clear her way into the Paris Olympics with a jump of 1.97m.
In addition, she will also seek to become the first Nigerian and fourth African woman to clear 2m in the event.
