Golden Eaglets midfielder, Usman Ajibola will go on trial at French club Lille LOSC with a view to securing a permanent contract when he turns 18.
Although the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria crashed out in the quarter-finals of the U17 Afcon, Usman Ajibola did enough to catch the attention of a few European clubs.
He now has the chance to get his first European experience with the French Giant Lille LOSC.
The youngster will be in Lille, France for the next two weeks on trial.
Founder of Tripple 44 Academy, Okuku Olatunji, posted on Twitter expressing his satisfaction with the opportunity for Usman Ajibola.
“For me, I always tell them to have fun. But at the same time leave a lasting impression wherever they go Tripple_44 it’s only a matter of WHEN and not IF.
Have a great time at Domaine De Luchin. ???????? Lille is a very interesting club.”
The golden eaglets lost out of the African U17 championships after losing to Mali in the Quarter-finals.
Lille LOSC is the former team of Victor Osimhen and Osaze Odenwingie and Ajibola will hope to follow in their footsteps.
Usman’s on-field performance may also be compared to that of a skilled midfielder who makes interceptions, wins tackles, and avoids fouling any players.
