The National high jump queen, Temitope Adeshina won her third consecutive event in the high jump at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic with a win of 1.92m.
With her final two clearances, she now owns all top-10 marks in the Texas Tech indoor record book.
High jump queen, Temitope’s winning attempt of 1.92m (6-3.50), was just one centimeter shy of her season best.
Temitope Beats African Champion
She beat reigning African Champion, Rose Yeboah of Ghana who also cleared the same height on countback.
Furthermore, Yeboah’s 1.92 was a new Ghana indoor national record.
Alyssa Jones with a height of 1.86m came third at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic.
In. January, Temitope Adeshina set a season-best (SB) of 1.93m to win the women’s High Jump at the Red Raider Invite in Texas.
The high jump queen, Temitope recorded the best jump in the NCAA and ranked second in the world in January 2025.
She went on to attempt the World Championship qualification standard of 1.97m, leading a Texas Tech 1-2-3 finish, as Evelyn Lavielle and Claire Lowrey jumped 1.80m behind her.

High jump queen, Temitope began her inroad into Texas Tech’s top 10 records on January 19 2024 when she broke the school record by breaking Zarriea Willis’ 2018 mark of 1.89m
In her second meet of 2024, freshman Temitope Adeshina smashed Texas Tech’s indoor high jump record ultimately clearing 1.96m (6-5) Friday night at the Sports Performance Center.
Also, on the same night in 2024, Temitope cleared .1.91m to own some of the highest marks in Texas-Tech history.
Meanwhile, the closest high jumper to her in Texas-Tech history is Sidney Snapp with 1.89m.
